The Cuppa Travis Tea Blog:  What Is It?

In general, The Cuppa Travis Tea Blog encompasses all of my authorial work that I publish on my website, including every episode of The Cuppa Travis Tea Podcast.  However, as anyone who enjoys the art of writing can attest, at various times, a writer likes to explore topics in one of many ways.  And so, on my website, here is what the reader may find published within “The Blog”.

Satire

Perhaps of all the literary genres to spring from the human mind, nothing is finer than a piece of satire.  At least, that is the case for me.  And for about three decades, now, I have spent time reading and studying the art of satire.

What is satire, you may ask?  Well, according to the folks who publish the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, satire is a noun in the English language.  Furthermore, satire either is “a literary work [which holds] up human vices and follies to ridicule and scorn” or is a kind of “trenchant wit, irony, or sarcasm used to expose and discredit vice or folly.”

Therefore, it is beyond a foregone conclusion that, on Cuppa Travis Tea, the reader (i.e., you) will read my satirical work.

Essays

At other times, the reader (i.e., you) may find on Cuppa Travis Tea other kinds of writing of mine:  expository essays, descriptive essays, narrative essays, and persuasive essays.  It just depends on my mood.

Open Letters

On occasion, I have been known to write a letter or two.  When that happens, I shall publish them on my website.

Last but not least, I thank you very much, both for your time and for your consideration.

As always, yours in service,

Travis Ray Garner
